The arrangement is administered by Alan Boswell Insurance Brokers Limited and underwritten by Norwich Union. A summary of features are listed below, but please refer to the application form for a more detailed view. A full policy document along with the schedule will be issued if you take up our insurance.

A premium rate of £1.83 per £1,000 of residential buildings sum insured including 5% Insurance Premium Tax. To calculate your buildings insurance premium click-here.
All Risks of loss or damage cover subject to a £250 claims excess (increased to £1,000 for subsidence or malicious damage by the tenant).
The facility to include students and Housing Benefit tenants at no extra charge (DSS referrals must be agreed).
Loss of rent cover for up to 12 months to a maximum of 20% of the relevant buildings sum insured (again following insured damage to the property).
Property Owners Liability cover up to £5,000,000 indemnity any one incident.
Up to 3 months cover for unoccupied properties subject to usual precautions, ie weekly visits, disconnection of mains services, unless needed to power a heating or security system (draining of water systems from October to March inclusive). Doors locked and windows securely closed.
Cover for costs of rehousing a tenant, up to 10% of the building sum insured, following insured damage to the property.
Employers' liability cover up to £10,000,000 indemnity on any one incident for cleaners, gardeners, caretakers, and persons doing minor maintenance and repairs.
Oil filled radiators and eletric fan or convector heaters are the only forms of portable heating permitted.
Contents of rented property can be covered at a rate of £6.00 per £1,000 including Insurance Premium Tax (with theft cover restricted to – following forcible entry). To calculate your contents insurance premium click-here.
Note: If you do not take out our Buildings Insurance then the minimum standalone Contents Insurance is £10,000.
